For Windows 10 & 11

Windows that know
where they belong.

The daily ritual

You drag the same windows
to the same spot. Again.

A reboot, a second monitor, a different routine — and everything scatters. Shoji Flow remembers where your windows belong and brings them back on a single hotkey. Here's how.

  1. Step 01

    Capture

Arrange your windows the way you need them — and hit "Save current layout". Shoji Flow remembers position, size and monitor.

  2. Step 02

    Let it learn

After a few days, Shoji Flow picks up on your routines and suggests them as ready-made layouts. Save them, or dismiss them with one click: your call.

  3. Step 03

    Apply

Hit the hotkey — windows glide into place, missing apps launch. Wrong layout? "Undo" restores the previous state.

Features

Everything a window
manager should do.

No rigid grid that dictates where your windows go. Shoji Flow takes over the arranging you otherwise do by hand.

  • Layouts with everything attached

Position, size, monitor and which window sits in front, plus the browser tabs you want open. Shoji Flow launches missing apps for you.

  • Learns your routines

Shoji Flow remembers which apps you use together, when, and where their windows sit. From that come suggestions, and you decide what stays.

Common questions

Asked and answered.

What's different from Windows snapping?

Snapping sorts the windows that are open right now into fixed slots. Shoji Flow keeps your layouts for good — across restarts, in any size and on the right monitor. It launches missing apps itself and brings everything back with one hotkey. Quick snapping without a layout is still there, right in the dashboard.

Which apps work?

Most programs with a normal Windows window, such as browsers, editors, Microsoft Store apps, chat and office tools. Full-screen games and video are deliberately left alone. The odd program with unusually built windows cannot always be controlled. When you apply a layout from the app, a preview first shows which windows will move, which apps will launch and which it could not find.

Does it handle multiple monitors?

Yes. Every layout remembers which monitor each window belongs on. Unplug a screen or add one, and Shoji Flow fits the arrangement to whatever displays you have when you apply.

What does Shoji Flow do in the background?

Tracking checks every few seconds which windows are open and where they sit. Suggestions and Insights are built from that. You set how often in the settings and can pause tracking anytime from the icon next to the clock. If you like, Shoji Flow starts with Windows and applies a layout right away. Steam achievements also count some of your activity, such as how often you apply a layout.

Does it use AI?

Only if you turn it on — it's off by default. Then it names your layouts and suggestions and gives them tags and a short description. It runs locally on your PC. To use it, you download the AI model once. You can turn it off again anytime in the settings, and everything else works without it.

Where do I get it, and what does it cost?

On Steam, as a one-time purchase: €4.95 for the first 14 days after release, €7.99 after that (prices incl. VAT, regional Steam pricing may vary). You need a free Steam account. Updates come through Steam.

What if I don't like it?

Steam's refund policy applies: currently, Valve refunds you if you ask within 14 days of purchase and have used the app for less than two hours. Valve sets these terms and can change them at any time. The current version on Steam is what counts.

What does my PC need?

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), a processor with two cores, 4 GB of memory (RAM) and 250 MB of disk space — plus a small Microsoft component (the Edge WebView2 runtime) that Windows 11 already includes. The optional AI is the only big item: for it we recommend 16 GB of memory and about 10 GB of space for the AI model. A graphics card speeds it up but isn't required.

Will it clash with my other shortcuts?

If a combination is already taken — by another layout, or system-wide by another program — Shoji Flow tells you, at the latest when you save. You pick each hotkey yourself, and it's optional: you can also apply layouts right from the app.

Can I take my layouts to another PC?

Yes, with a backup file: in the settings you export your layouts and settings into one file and import it on the other PC. There is no sync through Steam Cloud.
